Oberstdorf is an international brand! The skiing areas here as well as in the neighbouring Kleinwalsertal valley are simply a dream and enchant beginners as well as pros. Experience skiing over a total of 144 kilometres (100 miles)of pistes, with six mountain railways and 56 ski-lifts.
The Austro-German ski-ranges of Mount Fellhorn and Mount Kanzelwand are just magnificent! Every year the mountain railways scaling the slopes of Nebelhorn, Söllereck-Höllwies, Ifen 2000 and Walmendinger Horn take ski-devotees and winter-sun seekers from all over the world up into the lofty heights from where the countless splendid peaks of the Allgäu Alps can be seen.
Ski schools and winter sports shops which rent full skiing equipment are widely available. Walls of snow several meters high border the perfectly cleared winter hiking paths.
A numberless variety of cross country ski runs of all difficulty levels can be found! Luging is the special delight of children, also down the hillside right next to our hotel. In the Oberstdorf Ice Sports Centre as well as on our natural lake you can ice skate or even try out curling.
